Iron Artist
For those who don't know, Iron Artist is a challenge where an artist draws 100 pieces to practice towards a single self-improvement goal, such as how fast one draws or creating better backgrounds.Personally, I've taken on this challenge to practice anatomy and to help me develop my style. To consider this challenge complete, I need to draw 100 original characters (OCs) with a minimum of their full face neck-up displayed, or a minimum of Ā½ body if the character is facing profile.I tried not to pressure myself with any expectations on the timeframe, then too long went by where I didn't push myself to focus on this work. Now I have a goal to complete 25% of this challenge by the end of 2021.You can follow along with my progress through this google document. You can get early access and see some exclusive content on my raw sketchbook pages if you're a Star Dustling on my Ko-fi. No pressure to follow, though, because I'll be posting all complete Iron Artist pieces publicly every Thursday to my Instagram & Galleries for everyone to enjoy!
Youtube launch
My ultimate goal is to be an Influencer & Maker. In order to build myself up to that point, I need to prepare to launch my YouTube officially. I've made a handful of speedpaint videos already, but when I officially (re)launch my channel I fully intend to move forward with a schedule, uploading once every other Thursday.I won't be uploading anything to YouTube until I'm prepared to dedicate to that completely, and will publicly announce the big YouTube channel & career launch via my Ko-fi as soon as I'm ready. In the meantime, I'll be making posts exclusively for my Star Dustlings to see on Ko-fi in a new series called "Checkpoint" where I describe my process as I launch my career and work towards my long-term goal of being a legitimate Influencer & Maker on YouTube.
About Me & My Artwork
Hello hello Star Creatures 'n' Critters! I'm Ashcraft Starborne. My ultimate goal and dream is to make a living as a Gothic Furry Influencer & Maker. I like to consider myself a ājack of all tradesā or āMakerā for short, but the skills Iām trying to pour the most focus into mastering are Sewing, Sculpting, and Writing.As a Maker I explore various forms of art, but the primary forms I go back to (other than my focus mediums) are drawing, painting, and designing. My work is all primarily inspired by semi-realism, anime/manga, and high fantasy, oftentimes with a glitchcore or occult/witchy flair.I want to build myself up on the Instagram and YouTube platforms primarily, making art as sustainably and green as I reasonably can. At this stage in my business, all financial support goes directly into helping me take care of my little family as well as my artwork and dream career.I'd like to conclusion, I'd like to add how much I appreciate anyone and everyone who supports my artwork regardless of method. Schedule
I post to my Ko-fi and Instagram once a month minimum; my goal is to post 100 pieces of content before 10/31/23.Nothing else is on a posting schedule yet. My ultimate goal is to be able to post weekly to YouTube channel. Ultimately right now this is a part-time job for me. I have a full time day job that takes priority as I build my social media, but my goal is to eventually have prepared myself enough to quit and instead work full time for myself doing what I love - this! š
